Machine Operator

Company Information and Introduction:

We are currently recruiting for Machine Operators for our QCD Department. This is a great opportunity for enthusiastic candidates who can work systematically and logically to join our team.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Setting the machine at the beginning of the shift to ensure it can be operated to its optimum.
• Processing of abrasives materials using dedicated production machinery
• Resetting the machine as required depending on the Works Order.
• Ensuring that the correct material is being used as per the Works Order.
• Monitoring the machine throughout the shift and reporting any issues to the Supervisor.
• Some van driving will also be required
• Producing the required quantity of required material in the allotted time.
• Ensuring that the quality of the material produced is of a high standard.
• Ensure that their workstation is kept clean and tidy.
• Compliance with any Health & Safety regulations including wearing the appropriate PPE.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Knowledge of manufacturing machinery an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided
• Manual handling certificate an advantage but not essential as training will be provided
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure
