Stores Operative Abrasives Division

We are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative in our Abrasives Stores Department in Cootehill.

 Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Picking and packing orders
• Ensure orders are sent out in a timely manner and that they have been completed correctly
• Assist drivers to load orders and unload deliveries
• Checking in of orders ensuring that the correct quantities have been received and that goods are in good condition and haven’t been damaged in transit
• Assessing returned goods and booking them onto the system
• Stock control, making sure that inventories are correct
• Dealing in a professional manner with any local customers that may call into Stores to collect orders
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by keeping shelves and pallet areas neat and tidy
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety Regulations at all times
• This role involves manual handling, lifting, and prolonged periods of standing

Key Skills and Competencies

• Experience in a similar role desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
• Good level of English is required
• Previous experience using computers
• Experience using an ERP system desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
• Valid forklift licence but not essential as training will be provided
• Manual Handling but not essential as training will be provided
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure
